On Sunday, November 11, the Presbyterian Women hosted the Annual Praise Service. This year, we were blessed to have the Danforth Four as our guests of honor. Sam and Anna Danforth and their children, Elaina and Sawyer, are South African missionaries with ties to our own community and congregation. Anna is the granddaughter of the Nancy and the late Ken Carson and daughter of Presbyterian missionaries, David and Cindy (Carson) Lux. As part of their missionary service, Sam and Anna have established the Titus Auto Centre whose focus is to "technically train and spiritually equip aspiring mechanics in South Africa." To learn more about the Titus Auto Centre, go to their website, www.titusautocentre.co.za. If you are interested in learning more about the Danforth Four and would like to subscribe to their newsletter, please email them at danforthfour@gmail.com. It was all treats and no tricks on Sunday, October 28th. This year the Christian Education Committee hosted a Halloween Party for the Sunday school children. We were pleased to have so many families join us for supper, cookie decorating, and to find some tasty treats on the Trick or Treat Treasure Hunt. Several members of the congregation served as stations on the Treasure Hunt Trail providing the children with each set of stickers relating to the Pumpkin Prayer as well as a fun Halloween treat. We were blessed to have so many wonderful children and families attend and so many talented and generous congregation members to help make the night memorable.
