Our congregation is connected to other churches under the banner of the Presbyterian Church USA. The PC USA as we know it began in 1789. There are more than 11,000 churches. Please follow the link below for more information on PC USA.

The First Presbyterian Church of Toledo was established a few years before the Civil War, as a congregation on the frontier. We have worshiped and served God together at our present location since 1904. Like our forebears, we seek to lift up, and respond to God's great love for us in Jesus Christ. By the Grace of God, we are a loving fellowship of believers.

The Holy Scriptures are the written Word of God pointing us to Jesus Christ as the living Word and our Savior. We actively seek God's word and find joy in sharing with one another.
Our Members are involved in community leadership roles and in mission and outreach in the area. We regularly collect donations for the South Tama Food Pantry and participate in the yearly "Souper Bowl Sunday" service project.

As a "missionary" church, we set aside a sizable amount of our budget every year to support ministries around the world.
